Installing the "Tabs and Slides for Content" Mambot
In order to set up your Tabs and Slides feature in Vortex, you will first need to install the Joomlaworks "Tabs and Slides in Content" mambot. The latest version can be downloaded from JoomlaWorks here.
To install and activate the "Tabs and Slides in Content" mambot on your site follow these steps:
- In your Admin Control Panel, go to Installers > Mambots
- Browse for the file "plugin_jw_tabs_slides_2.2.zip" (downloaded from joomlaworks.gr) and click "Upload File & Install"
- Activate the mambot in your Admin Control Panel by going to Mambots > Site Mambots and clicking the "published" icon to the right of the "Tabs & Slides in Content Items mambot"

Now your "Tabs and Slides in Content" mambot is installed and activated and can be used in your site.
Creating your "Tabs" or "Slides" Module
The vortex template has been designed to include custom styling for the "Tabs and Slides in Content" mambot so that it will match beautifully with the template. In order take advantage of this styling and achieve the best results with the mambot, you will need to follow these steps:
- Create a new module from your Admin Control Panel by going to Modules > Site Modules and selecting the "New" button in the top right corner.
- Give your new module any title you want, but be sure to set the "Show Title" toggle to "No"
- Set the Module Position to "User 1" or "User 2" to display at the top of the page, User 3 or User 4 to display near the bottom of the page. Be sure that if you use "User 1" as your position, that no modules are published to "User 2" and so on, as the "Tabs and Slides" module needs to span the full width of the body for best results.
- Set the "Module Class Suffix" to "-tabs"

The "Tabs and Slides for Content" mambot integration and styling is designed to work specifically on the 'frontpage' of your site. It will work in other areas, but you may experience display issues when using it on other pages due to limitations in the mambot.
- In the content section, you will want to add in all of the content you intend to show in your tabs or your slides. You will need to enter your content in the following format:
For Tabbed Content:
{tab=Name of First Tab}
Your content text, images, or links go here
{tab=Name of Second Tab}
More content text, images, or links here
{tab=Name of Third Tab}
And still more of your content will go here
{/tabs}
For Slides Content
{slide=Name of First Slide}
Your content text, images, or links go here
{/slide}
{slide=Name of Second Slide}
More content text, images, or links here
{/slide}
{slide=Name of Third Slide}
And still more of your content will go here
{/slide}

- Once you've finished entering in your content, be sure that the "Published" parameter is set to "Yes" and click the "Save" button in the top right corner.
Now your Tabbed or Slides content box will appear at the top of your Vortex template above the main content of your page. The module will be styled to match the variation of Vortex you are using and will have the same "look" as your other middle modules and content blocks.
