Installing the Vortex Template |

This is a guide that covers how to set up your new Vortex template on your Joomla site and configure its features, functionality, and content to look similar to the Rockettheme Vortex Demo FrontPage.
Downloading the Vortex FilesThe first step is to download all of the files that will be needed to install your template, custom modules, as well make modifications. Here is a quick explanation of each of the available files in the Vortex release. - Vortex Template (rt_vortex.tgz) ñ This file is the template package you will use to install your template into Joomla.
- Vortex Login Module (vortex_mod_rt_login.zip) ñ This zip file contains the custom Rockettheme Login Module for Vortex.
- Vortex Logo Font >(vortex_fonts.zip) ñ This file contains the font for the Logo in Vortex. You will need to install this font on your system if you wish to edit the logo to add your own text in the same font style.
- Vortex Source PNG's (vortex_source_pngs.zip) ñ This zip contains the source png's for making modifications and customizations to the images in the template. You will need an image editing software (preferably Adobe/Macromedia Fireworks) to do this.
*JoomlaWorks Tabs and Slides plugin ñ In order to utilize the "Tabs and Slides in Content" functionality featured in the Vortex demo, you will need to download the latest "Tabs and Slides in Content" mambot/plugin from www.joomlaworks.gr.
Installing the Vortex Template into JoomlaTo install the Vortex template into your Joomla site, follow these steps: - Go to your Admin control panel for your site. In the Menu at the top, go to Installers > Templates ñ Site. Next browse for your ìrt_vortex.tgzî file you downloaded and then click ìUpload File & Installî. Now Vortex is installed and in your template list.
 - Next, from your admin control panel, go to Site > Template Manager > Site Templates. This will pull up the list of your installed templates. Find Vortex on the list and select the radio button to the left and then click ìDefaultî up in the top right corner. Now Vortex is set as your default template. If you view your site, you should see the Vortex template up and running.
